I thought I would get to make it through this cycle without making fun of Rick Barber's loony ad, but I guess not. Apparently, the tea party folks are endorsing Rick Barber over Martha Roby in the GOP run-off to see whom gets beat by Bobby Bright:
The Alabama Tea Party Express released a statement on its website Wednesday attacking Roby's conservative credentials and her ties to the party establishment: "We aren't telling anyone 'what' to do but if one is a conservative, one will be working toward getting Rick Barber, candidate for Congress in Alabama's 2nd District into the general election in November."In all honesty, I fully expect this race to tighten significantly no matter who gets nominated, but the prospects look pretty good for Bright, regardless of what CQ Politics thinks. In any case, please watch this Rick Barber ad and know that whoever runs this Alabama Tea Party, must be as off their rocker as Barber. This guy SERIOUSLY wants to represent Alabama folks. Man, what a statesmen:
