congrats!

Congratulations President Obama! Although I personally voted for McCain, I’m proud of how far our nation’s come within the last few decades. For the first African-American Presidential candidate of the United States to not only win, but to win considerably in past Republican-voting states, including North Carolina and Virginia, truly says a lot. It was pretty moving to watch footage of celebrations in Harlem, New York and Chicago right before and after the election results were finalized. McCain had a strong campaign, and both he and McCain acted honorably and with sportsmanship. I’m proud to be an American tonight, although somewhat anxious and curious as to how our nation and its programs will change or stay the same for the next four years. Again, congratulations to both candidates, with a special congrats to future President Obama.
