Obama Takes the Lead

While Ohio and Pennsylvania were the battle grounds tonight for Obama and McCain, Obama takes the win for both states. This is a crushing defeat for McCain because these states were essential to his presidential electoral strategy.

The Democratic nominee has generated 200 electoral votes to McCain’s 90, with 270 needed to win the presidency of the United States.

McCain’s chance for a victory may not look good, but don’t count him out yet, there’s still Florida, which is too close to call, and a number of states President Bush won 4 years ago that Obama is contesting. And we haven’t even heard from most of the Western states!
