President Obama

It's all but official now...Barack Obama will become the 44th President of the United States. The country is going to change, and the way the world views the U.S. is going to change.

From the very beginning, Obama was a different kind of candidate. Different...not only because of his skin color, but also because he changed the political landscape. He won over not only African American voters, but also won over the majority of Hispanics and major portions of the white vote.

McCain just wasn't able to turn around the tide in the critical swing states. Ohio and Pennsylvania were projected wins for Obama early on and this spelled doom for the McCain campaign.

We could discuss all night the underlying reasons for the result of this election. However, for now we need to prepare ourselves for an Obama led government. Obama best represents our chances for positive change at a time when change is desperately needed. At the same time, his lack of experience also holds the greatest possibility of failure.

Tomorrow, our world will be different. We will be different. President Obama, I hope you have what it takes to make our nation a better place.
