Acceptance and Concession

As I watched President-elect Obama and Senator John McCain's acceptance and concession speeches last night, I was very impressed. I thought that both candidates handled the situation very gracefully. McCain bowed out with honor and dignity, and he was not at all a sore loser, although the same could not be said of some of his supporters. Obama also effectivley ignited and excited those who voted and supported him last night in Chicago. He is ready for change. Both speeches made me once again thankful for the democracy we live in and the fair and balanced system that governs us.
