Come On... Seriously??

Like many of the people blogging below me, I am appalled and amazed at some of the facebook statuses and things my friends have said this evening. Yes, some of us did not support President-elect Obama. Yes, some of us think America will be worse for the wear if he is president. Yes, some of us do not agree with any of his policies. But none of that gives anyone free reign to attack him in a racist, malicious way. The fact of the matter is this: he is now our president. There is nothing we can do about it, whether we support him or not. So no one needs to waste their energy saying terrible, embarrassing, racist things about him. Frankly, I am mortified to say I am actually friends with some of my friends based on what I've heard them say or do tonight.
