Resident religious nut, and by the way legitimate contender for the GOP nomination for Governor, Roy Moore is apparently running against Barack Obama instead of his GOP rivals:
Moore framed his speech around a famous opening line from Charles Dickens. The worst of times? "Barack Obama is a socialist," he said. The best of times? Alabama is poised for change.
The only position of Obama's that he agrees with, said Moore, is the creation of a playoff system for college football. But Moore offered only the most general proposals for his plans, saying he favored smaller government, lower taxes and less regulations.
