An Ohio student has been sentenced to 30 months in prison and must pay Bill O'Reilly's site $40,000:
...Mitchell Frost was sentenced last week. Frost had pleaded guilty to causing damage to a protected computer system and possessing unauthorized access devices.
Authorities say Frost used the University of Akron's computer network to hack into other networks in 2006 and 2007. Frost also admitted shutting down an Ann Coulter site and a Rudy Giuliani presidential campaign site.
Frost also was sentenced to three years of supervised release and must pay $10,000 to the university.
Obviously the kid broke the law, but this seems excessive.  One would think maybe a little compassion would be in order for a college student that is going to have to pay for the damage in this victimless crime.
