Bill Maher: Founding Fathers Vs Tea Party
... um ... not always a good idea to be led by a so-called 'educated elite' - really depends upon the kind and content of education received. If anything, Parliaments and law are maybe not so effective as they can be because they, for the most part, are filled with, and made, by lawyers.
Education is a very important quality for anyone considering entering office but not the only qualification. I feel the best leaders of any society are also just, humane, courageous, charismatic (though not too much), long-sighted, genuinely humble and have at their core a desire to serve people and communities, not just nations and states.
