Watching my home state becoming such a crucial part of this election is so nerve-racking. As of right now the state is split with 50% Barack Obama and 48% John McCain. The state has not officially identified where the electorial votes will go. My parents said that tensions were flaring as they left the polls. As voters would leave the polls they were surrounded by a group of McCain supporters asking if they had voted Republican, especially for John McCain. My parents said that they were shocked and never experienced that at the polls before. It will be interesting to see who wins the key state with 27 electorial votes.
