Currently

Polls are closing and states confirming. Currently, the candidates are weighing in with 34 electoral votes for McCain and 77 for Obama. The battleground states of Montana, North Dakota, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida are still unconfirmed.
Voting breakdowns by age show:
18-24: 53% Sen. Obama and 46% Sen. McCain
30-44: 42% Obama and 56% McCain
45-64: 40% Obama and 60% McCain
I am not surprised to see that as the age increases, so does the number of votes for Senator McCain.
The breakdown by gender shows:
Female: 45% Obama and 55% McCain
Male: 38% Obama and 60% McCain
Gender breakdowns show McCain is favored by both sides. Of course, it's where the votes are cast that makes the difference.
