An Expected but Still Disappointing Night

I just don’t know what to say. I knew it would probably be incredibly hard, if not impossible, for John McCain to win this election but I still hung onto a sliver of hope that McCain would somehow be able to pull off a miracle. But here we are—at 8:30 on Election night—with the race all but over. The pundits are saying it’s impossible for John McCain to gain the electoral votes to be able to win the presidency but are stopping short of saying that Barack Obama has won the presidency. It really is a historic night, but just not the historic night I was hoping for.
