My mom just called me to tell me a very interesting and surprising fact. Out of allllll the college newspapers in the country, The Daily Mississippian was the only one to endorse John McCain for president. What shocks me even more than this astonishing fact is that The Mississippian DID endorse McCain. From what I have observed in my years here, The DM has always leaned to the left, so I was pleasantly surprised to see what they had to say. They also have been really good about encouraging the young voters, and I think they have been very even-handed in their coverage of the campaign. Bravo, DM- I take my hat off to you.
